In the African nations of Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, 12 million people are in danger of imminent death by starvation.  The World Hunger Appeal of our church is providing high-protein biscuits to school children, seeds for drought-tolerant crops, tools to 16,000 poor families, goats and sheep to 1,000 women, and medicine to 20,000 people in these African countries.  In sub-Saharan Africa, one of three people are undernourished, half lack access to safe water, 6,000 will have died today from AIDS, and 12 million children are AIDS orphans.

When you contribute to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal the last Sunday of each month at our worship services, you become part of God's solution to help in these terrible circumstances.  Your money brings help and relief in the name of Jesus Christ.
